Vision Statement: Saint Nicholas
School is an elementary school in the Diocese of Camden serving children in grades Pre-K through eight. Believing that parents have the primary and fundamental responsibility for the education of their children,
the administration, faculty, and staff of Saint Nicholas accept with pride, as well as accountability, the parents’
decision to entrust the education of their children to Saint Nicholas School.
At Saint Nicholas, we believe that there is no greater obligation than
that of ensuring that each child of God receives the best possible education. (why) Saint Nicholas School accepts as its goals
that it will provide the strongest education possible in the principles of the Catholic faith, while providing each child
with a strong academic foundation in the basic subjects, the arts, and Christian values.
Saint Nicholas School believes that such objectives can only be achieved
when all members of the school community – children, parents, teachers, and administrators –maintain the highest
standards of behavior and conduct themselves in ways which are consistent with Catholic values.
We expect each child to work to his or her potential, respect others,
and behave appropriately. The staff, in return, will work to ensure that each
child receives a quality, Catholic education.
Saint Nicholas School anticipates that parents will be active in the
church and school, and the staff will communicate with them honestly, and will provide them with opportunities to become involved
with their children’s education.
The faculty and staff at Saint Nicholas will be highly qualified, will
continue their professional growth, and will develop their expertise in academic subjects and religious education.
Ultimately, St. Nicholas School will endeavor to sustain
a model Catholic community where we can live and learn in partnership and encouragement.
All members of this community – children, parents, teachers, and administrators -- will continue to grow toward
fulfillment as a total person of God.
